A Care for a Community Garden
Girl Scout Black Diamond Troop 10459 takes care of a community garden and has some tips for anyone working in their garden!
Their tips are:
Make sure your plants have plenty of room
Remove any rotten or diseased plants
Water your plants daily
Check on the plants often
Make sure they have the right amount of sunlight
Plant them at the right times
Dig holes and bury the seeds
And lastly, add a scarecrow to keep away the birds!
These girls have been working hard all summer to grow and care for their plants and have ended up creating a beautiful garden and learning important skills. If you’re interested you should grow a garden too! Gardens have so many good influences on the environment and it’s easy for you to make your own!
